About

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Psalm 96:3

Marcos and Maddison Souza are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship serving in Shell, Ecuador. Marcos currently works as the Director of Safety and Quality for the program in Ecuador, as well as running the IT systems. Maddison homeschools their three children, Elias (10), Zoe (8), and Clara (6). She also manages the historic home of Nate Saint which includes a small museum and guest apartment.

Marcos was raised in a Christian home and was strongly influenced by the training and mentorship of his dad. He came to faith at a young age and felt a call toward full-time ministry during junior high. He went on several overseas mission trips during high school and college. Marcos has always had a love for aviation and fixing things, so when he was introduced to MAF during college, he was immediately excited about the possibility of combining these passions with his desire to see Christ proclaimed to the nations.

Maddison was also raised by believing parents and accepted Christ at a very young age. She had the privilege of growing up in very mission-minded churches and her parents were influential in directing her toward missions. She grew up reading the biographies of MAF missionaries such as Betty Greene and Nate Saint, and began going on short-term mission trips as a teenager. Marcos and Maddison met on a mission trip to El Salvador and were married in 2011. Together they share a passion to see the gospel advance to the ends of the earth.
